Today I am sharing a little room tour of Gibson's nursery. We have been in our house a little over two years, and this is the third time this room has been updated. It was Porter's room when we first moved in, then Evan and Porter shared it for a while and used the other room as their play room. That's back when we were "100% sure" we were done having kids. HA! So once we were a few months away from Gibson joining our family, it became his room! It's my third baby boy nursery to decorate, and I have to say it is my favorite of the 3! I love how bright and calming the entire rooms feels. It just feels good to be in there. I will link all of the sources for everything at the bottom of the post.
The changing table is part of an old hand-me-down dresser. Jonathan made the wood top for it out of a branch that fell in our back yard (yes, for real. He can do all the things, y'all!). He also made the shelf/baskets that are mounted over it.
This precious little outfit belonged to my dad! I love having that special touch in Gibson's room.
The sign was a DIY project. I used this tutorial, and Jonathan built the little wood frame around it.
All of our boys have corduroy Jelly Cats as their stuffed animals (Evan has an alligator, and Porter has a fox*, and Gibson got an elephant*). The little lovey blanket was handmade by my beautiful Aunt Maggie. The blanket on the back of the rocking chair was made by her as well. She made blankets and loveys (or "little blankets" as my boys call them) for all three boys.
This painting hangs on the wall that it across from the window. I love how the gold leaf reflects the sun light. It just makes me happy to look at it when I'm sitting in the chair rocking or nursing Gibson.
I hope y'all enjoyed this room tour. Let us know in the comments if you'd like to see more posts like this in the future. I am linking sources of where to find everything, but feel free to comment below if you have any other questions.
